Just two weeks after we started dating, as an early birthday celebration, we took a trip to winter park to see the mountain soaked in sun instead of covered in snow!

Spencer met the Dennis family as we all celebrated multiple birthdays, including his!

Spencer had to quarantine with Katie's family and everyone had such a fun time together that we created their own holiday since we would not be together for Thanksgiving. This little celebration is called "Wigsgiving" and Spencer's alter ego was born, "The Pink Lady"!

We all had so much fun with Wigsgiving, that we also decided to have a Prom night! Even though everyone had graduated from high school at least two years prior.. it was still a blast!

We went on a nighttime hike to sit in the star that over looks the city of Boulder!

We went out to Larimer Square since Katie was still relatively new to Colorado and she decided to show everyone that she cannot do the splits after someone told her that she "has the legs of a dancer"

Spencer graduated from CU Boulder!

We joined our friends on a week long trip to Maui, Hawaii after they all graduated college!

The first wedding that Katie and Spencer went to, for Katie's cousin Mike and his wife Maggie in Iowa!

When Spencer was working in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a couple of months, Katie went to visit him but her flight ended up landing in Chicago, Illinois due to a snow storm and she was stuck there for the night. However, Spencer rounded up Katie's two best friends and the three of them drove to Chicago to pick Katie up from the airport. Due to her cancelled flight, Katie was able to get the airline to give her a hotel room and some meal vouchers for the night. The four of them stayed up for most of the night eating snacks, telling stories and laughing!

The next day they were able to explore the city of Chicago and search for Katie's luggage before heading back to Cedar Rapids, Iowa!

Katie and Spencer will dance together any chance they get even if no one else is dancing with them! This photo was taken a couple of nights after Spencer, Katie, Jayna and Natalie got back from Chicago!

Spencer has taken Katie on many trips to the mountains where they stay in Edwards and ski as much as possible. But when they're not skiing, you can find them doing something else fun outside.

After almost two years of dating, this was the moment that Katie realized how much Spencer does not like taking photos as much as she does.

But she also realized that she wouldn't have it any other way because he is her favorite wedding date. And he is stuck with her forever now, so haha!

The first time Katie and Spencer went to a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater together!

Of the many adventures that Spencer has taken Katie on, one of the places they enjoy going to the most is a little lake in the middle of Nebraska.

Spencer and Katie enjoy exploring different breweries that host live events with friends and family!

Katie and Spencer on their way down to a small town near Silverton, CO to help their friend Bryce propose to his now wife, Lilac! They had to be sneaky about it so Lilac would be surprised, and it was almost successful, until Katie got stuck in the fence while trying to get good photos of Lilac's reaction.

When Spencer, Katie and their friends climb outside, Katie's parents go for their morning hike and then hang out and watch everyone climb for an hour or two before the big group gets breakfast burritos after active morning!

Katie's parents, Dave and Wendy enjoy watching the pair climb together indoors just as much as outdoors! Even though they don't get breakfast burritos after indoor climbing :/

One of the ways that Katie and Spencer like to climb is called "Lead Climbing" and it requires a lot of trust in your partner to catch you if you fall. Just another reason enjoy climbing together, building their trust and pushing each other to keep working hard!

Katie and Spencer joined his parents and younger sister, Tatum, on a trip to Cabo, Mexico for a long weekend! Katie absolutely did not use enough sunscreen.

Sometimes Katie and Spencer make a trip up to Arvada to do Beer Yoga with her family. It's a bit more challenging than plain yoga and requires a nap after.

Summer 2023 we a huge trip to Europe! Our first stop, was Alicante, Spain, where Spencer had studied abroad in 2020. He was able to give a tour and tell stories about his favorite memories in the city.

While in Alicante, Spain we visited Katie's super close family friends and were able to eat amazing Paella and spend time with them and catch up for a couple of days before getting on a plane to go to Croatia!

We then went to Dubrovnik, Croatia for the second stop of our trip. Little did Katie know that she about to get proposed to just a couple days after this photo was taken!

During our first day in Dubrovnik, we had already explored almost the entire city and found may areas that the show "The Game of Thrones" had been filmed.

After we had walked the city walls, we explored a near by fort that was built by Napoleon Bonaparte that overlooks the city. The fort is in the back of this photo and the next picture is from the top of the fort!

We spent the first half of the day walking on the very top of the old city walls that encompasses the Old Town of Dubrovnik.

Spencer had flown in Katie's best friend, Jayna, from Vienna, Austria, where she was playing professional softball at the time to spend a few days with them in Croatia! This photo was taken on their way to an island called Mljet, where they had planned to hike to the tallest point of the island. The peak provides a beautiful 360 view of a lake and island within the island and then overlooks the ocean!

Safe to say that Jayna knew that Spencer was planning on getting down on one knee and she was super ready to take photos and a video! That day, it was supposed to be raining but that didn't stop the three of us from still going on this very memorable hike <3

Fun fact about this hike, is that all of the signs and maps were written in Venetian, so none of us knew where we were going. We just happened to stumble upon the spot that Spencer was planning on proposing at less than 45 minutes into the hike!

After the hike, we were able to swim in the lake in the middle of the island. The water was so clear that they could see about 20 feet down!

We kayaked around the city of Dubrovnik!

After Croatia, we went to Ireland to explore Dublin, the Cliffs of Moher and have as much Guinness as possible!

We did a bus tour of Ireland and our tour guide took us to a tiny town called Timahoe, about an hour outside of Dublin. When we were about 20 minutes away, he called the local bartender to open the pub just for us!

Spencer didn't want the rain to get his hair wet.

While visiting the Guinness Storehouse, we participated in the Guinness Connoisseur Experience where we were taken in to a private room and got to taste different beers that Guinness makes. After our tasting, we were taught and are now certified to correctly pour a proper Guinness!

On our last full day in Ireland, we visited St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin after having breakfast at O'Donoghue's Pub which was Katie's great-grandmother's maiden name!

Just a few days after we got back to Colorado from our trip to Europe, we went skydiving for Katie's family friend's 60th birthday!

Regardless of the event, Spencer never fails to make Katie laugh

More often than not, we both forget our phones when looking at a sunset, but on occasion, we'll remember to take a photo
